An oven and a cleaning method thereof, are provided to clean a cavity by controlling a heating source with maximum output and apply steam on the inner space of a cavity and spraying steam on the inside wall of the cavity at high temperature. An oven comprises: a cavity(120); a steam generator(200) applying the steam vapor inside the cavity; a plurality of heating sources heating the inside of the cavity; and a controller controlling the steam generator and the heating source. The controller controls the heating source with maximum output and sprays the steam inside cavity by using the steam generator.
