NOVEL SYNTHETIC PROCESS OF ADIPIC ACID

The present invention relates to a method of preparing an adipic acid from a glucaric acid or a galactaric acid derived from biomass, and more particularly, to a method of preparing an adipic acid including the following steps: 1) inputting a glucaric acid or a galactaric acid, a rhenium catalyst, and an acid catalyst as starting materials to at least one solvent selected from the group comprising heptanol and butanol to make the starting materials and the solvent react; and 2) hydrogenating a glucaric acid ester or a galactaric acid ester that is an intermediate prepared from a reactant prepared in the step 1 by using a noble metal catalyst such as a platinum or a palladium catalyst and then performing a hydrolysis reaction to obtain an adipic acid. According to the present invention, a method of preparing an adipic acid has an advantage in that an adipic acid is produceable in a high yield at low cost through a process much simpler than a conventional production method, as well as is eco-friendly as an adipic acid is prepared from biomass such as a plant or a marine resource that is an eco-friendly material, thus having a great ripple effect on an industry as a technology of utilizing an adipic acid as a raw material of nylon 66 used as a vehicle component material adopting a bio adipic acid in the future.
