An apparatus for providing information based on presence or absence of user input comprises: a touch screen receiving touch input; and a control unit selecting virtual objects in a virtual space based on the touch input and controlling the virtual objects, wherein the control unit selects the virtual objects, based on a first spot on the touch screen to which a first touch input is applied and a touch time, which refers to a touch holding time.
