Provided is a power outlet hub capable of disconnecting power from a power-connected device or connecting the power to the device from a remote place or at a scheduled time, and transmitting infrared signals suitable for a predetermined product to control the product. The power outlet hub includes: a power input terminal connected to an AC power supply socket; a main power control unit connected to the power input terminal to control a power source; a power output terminal connected to the main power control unit; and an infrared signal receiving unit connected to the power input terminal. The infrared signal receiving unit receives an infrared signal corresponding to a preset external device to control the external device. When the external device is connected to the power outlet hub, the power outlet hub can cut off AC power selectively as a user demands, or transmit an infrared signal to connect/disconnect a power source. Thus, the power outlet hub may save energy and is easy to use, thereby improving utilization of existing electronic devices. |
