The invention relates to a synchronisation system and a method for an electrical generator unit coupled to an electrical energy system, for facilitating the synchronisation between the electrical generator unit and the electrical energy system. A synchronisation signal (Ss) is generated by means of at least one phase-tracking loop (4) from a main electrical signal (Se) received from the electrical energy system. The phase-tracking loop (4) comprises a controller schema with a plurality of gain parameters (Kmn) for eliminating at least some of the deviations of the synchronisation signal (Ss) from the main electrical signal (Se), and said gain parameters (Kmn) are adjusted according to the frequency and the amplitude of said main electrical signal (Se).
