The present invention relates to a graphene oxide/polymer composite material functionalized with sulfonated poly(ether-ether-ketone). More specifically, the present invention can produce a graphene oxide/polymer composite material with improved mechanical strength, thermal characteristics, and gas barrier ability, by providing a functionalized graphene oxide/polymer composite material characterized by comprising a graphene oxide functionalized with sulfonated poly(ether-ether-ketone) and a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymer.
