A mobile terminal is disclosed. The mobile terminal of the present invention includes a case, an input module for acquiring a user key input, and a control unit for generating a control signal, wherein the input module comprises: at least one button comprising a plurality of holes formed in at least one region of the case; a dielectric film located at a lower surface of the at least one button; and an electrostatic sensor, located on a lower surface of the dielectric film, for obtaining the amount of change in capacitance according to a user's touch operation of the button, wherein the capacitance comprises a first capacitance generated between the body of the user and the electrostatic sensor via the plurality of holes; and a second capacitance generated when at least one part of the button is deformed due to pressure applied to the button, wherein the control unit generates the control signal when the first capacitance and the second capacitance are obtained by the electrostatic sensor. According to the present invention, the control unit generates a control signal when a change of the two capacitances has been acquired by the electrostatic sensor, and thereby it is possible to prevent unintended erroneous button operation by a user. |
