An information display system that has: a tag that is provided with a signal reception unit, with a data code, and with an image-memory-type display medium that displays a display image on the basis of an image display signal; and a reader/writer that is provided with a contact electrode unit that comes into contact with the signal reception unit, with an information recognition unit that recognizes the data code and recognizes the display image of the image-memory-type display medium, with memory in which are stored both image display information that corresponds to information included in data codes as well as data code information, and with a writing unit that transmits, via the contact electrode unit, an image display signal that is based on image display information. The information recognition unit reads the data code and obtains information included in the data code. When said information is compared and coincides with data code information stored in the memory, the writing unit transmits an image display signal via the contact electrode unit, makes the image-memory-type display medium display a display image, and a post-transmission information recognition unit verifies the display image. |
