摘要 The radiometer contains an optically integrating sphere with a generally spherical, integrating chamber with an input connection or opening for light contg. visible and ultraviolet components. Two light detectors detect the light from the sphere and produce corresp. electrical current signals. The first detects visible and ultraviolet light, and the second detects visible light only. The current signals are converted into voltages by operational amplifiers. The voltage signals are compared by a differential amplifier which produces a corresp. third signal proportional to the difference between them. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for measuring in-band radiation in presence of out-of-band radiation. Radiometer is esp. suitable for measuring ultraviolet light in wideband radiation, e.g. for medical applications, solar cells, determining how much sun tan lotion to use.
