摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of display defects due to static electricity and external noise and to perform stable image display by forming plural switching elements on the front side of a matrix substrate in correspondence with plural electrodes and forming an electrically conductive layer on the rear side of the substrate. SOLUTION: Plural TFT's 2 as switching elements are formed on the front side of a glass substrate 1 in correspondence with plural pixel electrodes and an ITO film 5 as an almost optically transparent and electrically conductive layer is formed by sputtering on the reverse side of the substrate 1. The area in which the ITO film 5 is formed is 10-100%, preferably 20-100% of the area of the rear side of the substrate 1. The thickness of the ITO film 5 is preferably 500-5,000Å, more preferably 1,00-2,000Å. The occurrence of display defects due to static electricity and external noise can be prevented and stable image display is performed.</p>
