<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress consumption of an ink consequent to switching of ink types by preventing frequent switching of types of the ink supplied to nozzles. <P>SOLUTION: Setting of whether or not to permit switching of ink types is received from a user with a manager authority. When a printing job is received accompanying designation of paper types from a plurality of user PCs connected to a network, and if the type of black ink supplied to a black nozzle array k at present does not agree with the type of black ink suitable for the received paper type (S120), printing is executed after the ink type is switched when switching of ink types is permitted (S130-S160).
