PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular detergent composition excellent in both washing stability and the prevention of foaming after long-term storage. SOLUTION: This composition contains as the constituents a fatty acid polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether represented by the formula: R<1> C(O)(AO)m (EO)n OR<2> [wherein R<1> is a 1-40C alkyl or alkenyl; R<2> is a 1-20C alkyl or alkenyl; AO stands for at least one 3-8C alkylene oxide; EO is ethylene oxide; and m and n respectively are the average numbers of AO and EO molecules added and are each a positive number of 1 or greater, satisfying the formula m+n=(2 to 50)] and an alkali builder. The composition is produced by, for example, kneading and extruding a fatty acid polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether and an alkali builder, and then crushing and granulating the extrudate. |
