PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording apparatus which eliminates the deterioration of image quality due to clogging and of reliability without using a nozzle and can scatter minute liquid drops by low frequency low voltage driving. SOLUTION: An ink thin film 9a is formed in the vibration direction of the flexural vibration of an elastic member 7 near the end of the member 7 by the effects of the wetting and gravity of ink and the member 7 without a driving signal being applied in a vibration generating part. The application of a driving signal V2 of a lower voltage than a driving signal V1 during ink scattering to the vibration generating part for a time t2 longer than a driving signal application time t1 during ink scattering causes a flow in the ink. As a result, the elastic member can be buried completely in the ink. In order to eliminate the ink thin film 9a, the surface 9 of the ink is displaced to bury the member 7 completely into the ink 6 to obtain similar effects. |
