PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a belt from being bitten into the hip or crotch of a child and suppress the pain or uncomfortable feeling by constituting at least part of the back part of a seat belt from a part consisting of a hard material, and forming the part longer than at least the band width of the seat belt. SOLUTION: In this auxiliary safety belt 1, the belt part corresponding to the back is formed of a plate 11 consisting of a hard material. In the use of this auxiliary safety belt, an existing three-point type seat belt 33 for automobile is passed to the side hole of the auxiliary safety belt and entwined around the belt. Namely, in the use by a child alone, the seat belt 33 is passed between the back of a child 31 and the auxiliary safety belt 11 from the side. Otherwise, an adult fastens the seat belt first, holds the child thereon, installs the auxiliary safety belt to the child, passes the seat belt between the back of the child and the auxiliary safety belt from the side, and firmly fixes the seat belt to a seat belt attachment and detachment part 34.
