INK CONTROL FOR PRINTER WITH SHORT INKING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a printing worker to comfortably surely adjust coloring independently on various influential parameters.

SOLUTION: In the method for adjusting and controlling the coloring in an offset printer including at least one inking unit, a control computer, and an operation element for adjusting the coloring via a predetermined adjustment area, the predetermined adjustment area is divided into partial areas in the control computer. The partial area is assigned to at least one operation variable of the inking unit or the printer respectively in the control computer. The proper partial area is obtained by the control computer depending on the coloring selected by using the operation element to adjust the coloring selected in the inking unit via the respective assigned operation variable of the inking unit and/or the printer.
