PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable plastic material which is not inferior to a petroleum resin and is a composite of pulp and glucomannan derived from konjak. SOLUTION: This biodegradable plastic material is a composite of glucomannan and pulp, the ratio being (1/0.5)-(1/10), is decomposed and disappears in soil, and is prepared by mixing a konjak powder into water- containing pulp, stirring the mixture to sufficiently swell glucomannan in the konjak powder, and dewatering and drying the mixture.
