PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car in which an upper part of a cage is supported to a car frame by bracing means of simple constitution. SOLUTION: A lower part of the cage 5 is elastically supported to lower sides of the car frame in a rectangular form, and bracing metal fittings 13 are fixed to upper end parts of the cage 5. At an end part of the bracing metal fitting 13, an inclination surface 17 of an open angle shape is provided to form a gap for surrounding side surfaces 16 on both sides of a vertical frame 3 in the car frame. An inclination surface vibration-proofing device 21 facing the side surface 16 of the vertical frame 3 is fastened to the inclination surface 17 to be movable toward the opening direction of the car frame. Between an installation surface 15 of the bracing metal fitting 13 and a counter surface 14 of the vertical frame 3, an installation surface vibration-proofing device 19 is provided. In this constitution with a less number of parts, desired bracing effect at the upper part of the cage 5 can be obtained, thereby saves cost on manufacturing and installation adjustment.
