摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gyroscope type power generation apparatus which has high strength together with a simple structure and easiness of manufacture and ensures isotropy to be independent from a posture and a direction of a floating body to a wave, thereby always stably generating power. SOLUTION: In this power generation apparatus, the floating body 2 is formed in the shape of a doughnut, and a control moment gyroscope 5 having at least one perpendicular gimbal spindle 6 is disposed in an inner cylindrical portion 2A of the floating body 2. Thus, the strength and stiffness is ensured by a doughnut-shaped portion between the inner cylindrical portion 2A and the outer cylindrical portion 2B obtaining buoyancy and wave power, so that the power generation apparatus is compactly held in the inner cylinder 2A. Further, since the power generation apparatus is constructed from the control moment gyroscope 5 having the perpendicular gimbal spindle 6, it is not required to fixedly control the direction of the floating body 2 to the direction of the wave with severe accuracy, so that the system is widely simplified and electric power is always stably generated.
