PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor enhancing sealing performance between a fixed scroll and a movable scroll with a simple structure and having excellent compression efficiency. SOLUTION: The movable scroll 54 of the scroll compressor includes a boss 62 into which a bearing is pressed and a sliding contact face 54c which is partitioned by a swirl lap 54a on an inner face of a base plate 54b and with which a swirl lap of the fixed scroll is brought into sliding contact via a seal member capable of being elastically deformed. The tip face of the swirl lap 54a is within the same reference plane 90, and the swirl-shaped sliding contact face 54c is partitioned into partition regions 92 to 95 in a plurality of stages gradually separated from the reference plane 90 from the center toward the outside in the diametrical direction. The fixed scroll also includes a swirl-shaped sliding contact face which is also partitioned into partition regions in a plurality of stages gradually separated from the reference plane 90.
