PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide easy assembly and disassembly of an automatic damper by eliminating difficult welding work of positioning of a metal fixture for an electric motor or the like. SOLUTION: The damper is provided with a damper body, and the electric motor 60 attached via the metal fixture to a rotary shaft guide tube 54 extended in an outer side of the damper body. The metal fixture is attached to the damper body by a fixing means such as a screw so it can be assembled and disassembled, and the electric motor 60 is fixed to the metal fixture. A connection shaft 30 is connected to a rotary shaft 53 of a valve element, and a rotating part 61 of the electric motor 60 is connected to the rotary shaft 53 of the valve element 51 via the connection shaft 30. The metal fixture is comprised of a lower metal fixture 10 and an upper metal fixture 20, the lower metal fixture 10 is attached to the rotary shaft guide tube 54, and the upper metal fixture 20 is fixed to the lower metal fixture 10. The lower metal fixture 10 is comprised of a pair of members, and it is attached by a bolt or the like so as to hold the guide tube 54 from both sides in a direction perpendicularly crossing the guide tube 54.
