PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instantaneous tapping type water heater wherein load is hardly applied to a vibration generator for vibrating the water in a connection pipe, reducing noise during instantaneous tapping operation, and having high heat transport efficiency. SOLUTION: Two check valves 20, 23 are mounted on a circular water circulating path 32 to allow the water to be unidirectionally circulated. One of two areas sectioned by the check valves 20, 23, of the water circulating path 32 is provided with a piston device 21, and this area and a tapping terminal 12a with a terminal-side accumulator 24 are connected by the connection pipe 13. The other area of the water circulating path 32 is provided with a heat exchanger 14 and an accumulator 19 for the water circulating path, and a water supply pipe 18 is connected with this area. When the piston device 21 is driven, the water is circulated in the water circulating path 32, and heated in the heat exchanger 14. Further the water is pulsated in the connection pipe 13 by driving the piston device 21, and the heat is transported from the water circulating path 32 to the terminal-side accumulator 24.
