This invention provides means for constituting a storage device, which can solve a boil-off problem by providing, in a liquid hydrogen storage device, a first storage part for storing a liquid fuel in a first fuel occluding material and a second storage part for storing, in the same device, a fuel, which is the same fuel as the above liquid and/or the liquid fuel and is in a vaporized state, and providing a filter-like structure in the boundary region between the first and second storage parts, and a storage method. There are provided means for constituting a storage device and a storage method in which a fuel is filled at a very low temperature and is stored and/or used at room temperature. There is also provided a system that can realize the supply of a fuel typified by liquid hydrogen into a fuel consumption device in a safe and simple manner by completely separating a place, where a fuel typified by liquid hydrogen is to be filled, from a place where the storage device is attached to or detached directly from or is substituted for a fuel consumption device as in automobiles. |
