PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated rolling bearing capable of holding high insulation performance, by forming a dense ceramic layer by a method instead of a thermal spraying method. SOLUTION: This insulated rolling bearing has an inner ring 1, an outer ring 2 and a plurality of rolling bodies 4 interposed between raceway surface of these inner-outer rings, and has a ceramic coating film 7 on at least one peripheral surface selected from an inner peripheral surface of the inner ring 1 and an outer peripheral surface of the outer ring 2. The ceramic coating film is a coating film formed by an aerosol deposition method using an alumina particulate as an aerosol raw material. The coating film is formed by moving in the axial direction, by using a positioning XY table, while rotating the outer ring or the inner ring, by using an object rotating motor, for example, by fixing an aerosol injection nozzle.
