摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a required friction characteristic without increasing cost and deteriorating manufacturing efficiency by using a similar punching blade and the same core metal rotary unit, without reducing a yield of a friction material base material even if reducing the number of oil grooves, in a segment friction material. SOLUTION: In this segment friction material 1, one surface is constituted by adhering five pieces of blocks 4, in each of which four pieces of segment pieces 3 are made to closely contact with a core metal 2, to the whole periphery. The oil grooves 5 for flowing ATF are formed by forming clearances between and among the five blocks 4, and the five oil grooves 5 are formed on the whole one surface of the segment friction material 1. Judder resistance is improved by reducing the number of the oil grooves 5 formed in the segment friction material 1 in this way, and a friction characteristic of the segment friction material 1 can be controlled to be a required friction characteristic including dragging torque by setting the number and a position of the oil grooves 5.
