<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell which can be used at 100°C or more and 0°C or less, has a sufficient strength and can suppress crossover of methanol, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte membrane is obtained by a manufacturing method in which pores are formed in a row in thickness direction by an anode oxidation method on one kind of a thin film selected from alumina, silica, titania, ceria, indium oxide, and the pores on cathode side is penetrated to the cathode side by etching the barrier layer at tip part of the closed pores, and by coating the inside of the pores by a functional group, proton conduction is made possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
