PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable continuous measurement of changes in viscosity. SOLUTION: A device A for measuring viscosity comprises a pipe line 16; a differential pressure measuring means 23 for measuring the pressure lossΔP between both the ends of the pipe line 16; a flow rate measuring unit 19 for measuring the flow rate Q of a painting medicine liquid in the pipe line 16; and an operating unit 20 for measuring the viscosityμof the painting liquid medicine in the pipe line 16 based on the measured pressure lossΔP and the flow rate Q; in which the operating unit 20 calculates a measured viscosity valueμA based on the product of the pressure lossΔp and the flow rate Q and linearizes the measured viscosity valueμA as the function of the reciprocal number of the flow rate 1/Q, and also calculates the intercept value of the measured viscosityμA (the value ofμA when the 1/Q is zero) based on this function.
