<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a history management device capable of easily determining a cause when an event such as the run-out of hot water occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A kitchen remote controller 4 of a water heater 2 includes a flash memory 45, a writing portion 47a, a data extracting portion 47b, and a ROM 48. The flash memory 45 can temporarily store history data. The history data include use history information. The writing portion 47a stores the history data in the flash memory 45. The data extracting portion 47b extracts the history data retrieved before a prescribed time from a time when a specific event occurs, among the history data in the flash memory 45 from the flash memory 45 when the specific event occurs.
