<p>When light intensity of ambient light passing through a touch panel section 11 is smaller than a prescribed value, an operation accepting device 1 recognizes a palm as a contact part of a hand of an operator contacted with the touch panel section 11 in a dome shape, and when the light intensity exceeds the prescribed value, the operation accepting device 1 recognizes a fingertip as the contact part. When a palm is recognized, the operation accepting device 1 accepts a circular palm sliding operation in the touch panel section 11 correspondingly to an image selection operation of a television set 2, or a linear palm sliding operation correspondingly to a channel changing operation of the television set 2. When a fingertip is recognized, the operation accepting device 1 accepts a circular fingertip sliding operation or a linear fingertip sliding operation in the touch panel section 11 correspondingly to an operation of the television set 2 for controlling a reproducing operation of a recording/reproducing device 5.</p> |
