PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle shaped electric fusion type pipe joint which enables a branch part having a relatively large diameter compared to that of a resin main pipe to be formed and satisfies long creep performance.SOLUTION: An electric fusion type pipe joint 1 includes: a saddle shaped saddle part 2 which is attached to a resin main pipe P so that its inner surface lies astride the resin main pipe P and closely contacts with the resin main pipe P; a branch part 3 protruding from the saddle part 2; and a hollow part 4 which penetrates from an end part of the branch part 3 to an inner surface of the saddle part 2. A groove part 22 engraved in a position which is not melted by a heating wire is formed in the saddle part 2. An insertion piece 23 for filling the groove part 22 is inserted into the groove part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
