The present invention relates to a shell-and-tube welding method for welding/coupling a tube in a tube insertion hole, which is formed through a tube sheet of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, the shell-and-tube welding method comprising: a tube sheet groove forming step for forming an annular tube sheet groove, which is spaced from the tube insertion groove towards the outer periphery by a predetermined distance, by indenting one side surface of the tube sheet; a tube bonding member inserting step for inserting a cylindrical tube bonding member, which is formed to have the same diameter as that of the tube, into the tube insertion groove of the tube sheet; a ring wire fabricating step for cutting a long welding wire into a predetermined length and fabricating a ring-shaped ring wire therefrom such that the same can be inserted into the outer periphery of the tube; a ring wire inserting step for inserting the ring wire into the outer periphery of one end of the tube; a tube inserting step for inserting one end of the tube towards one side of the tube sheet such that one end of the tube contacts one end of the tube bonding member, which faces the same, and is positioned within the range of interval of indentation of the tube sheet groove; a tube-side welding step for welding/coupling the other end of the tube welding member to the other side surface of the tube sheet; and a shell-side welding step for welding/coupling one end of the tube bonding member and one end of the tube to one side surface of the tube by inserting a welding torch into the tube bonding member and using the ring wire as a filler metal.
