Disclosed are a preparation method for a touch panel, a touch panel and a display device. The preparation method for a touch panel comprises: step S10, forming a pattern comprising a first electrode chain (2) and an insulating layer (3) on a substrate (1) by adopting a patterning process once, the insulating layer (3) being formed on the first electrode chain (2), and the insulating layer (3) covering the first electrode chain (2); and step S11, forming a pattern comprising a second electrode chain (4) on the substrate (1), thus completing step S10 by adopting the patterning process once, the second electrode chain (4) and the first electrode chain (2) being spatially crossed and insulated from each other. By means of the preparation method for a touch panel, the preparation of a first electrode chain (2) and a second electrode chain (4) is completed by adopting a patterning process twice, and the technological process is greatly simplified, thereby greatly reducing the preparation costs of a touch panel.
