An optical stereoscopic microscope system (10) is adapted for eye surgery and includes a conformer lens (21) which fits over the eyeball (20) being operated upon. A wide-angle aspherical lens system (30) includes two convex-concave lenses and magnifies the image from the conformer lens (21) to produce an inverted image. A beam splitter (17) splits the inverted image into separated left and right inverted images each of which are reinverted by a pair of prisms (14) each prism pair being a pair of an Abbe Modification of Porro Prisms. |
