PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a galvanized metallic sheet maintaining the workability, weldability, coating adhesion, low temp. impact-resistance or the like of plating coating equal to or above those of the conventional material and furthermore remarkably improved in corrosion resistance, particularly noncoating corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: This metallic sheet is the one in which at least one surface is applied with galvanizing coating composed ofηsingle phases with >=2μm thickness, and the plating coating is composed of electrodeposited Zn crystals in which the average grain size is regulated to <=200 nm and the index of the orientation properties T in the 11.0} expressed by the formula :T= I11∼0÷(I00 .1 +I10 .0 +I10 .1 +I10 .2 +I11 .0 ) is regulated to >=0.5, where IXX.X denotes the integrated intensity of the X-ray diffraction peak in the XX.X} plane of theηphases.
