METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECOVERING VALUABLE METAL FORM LIQUID SLAG AND BAG-HOUSE DUST IN ELECTRIC ARC FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for recovering a valuable metal from liquid slag and dust from a steel making furnace, such as an EAF. SOLUTION: A treating vessel 32 provided with a movable lower shell part 18 for receiving the liquid slag 16 from the EAF 2 and a movable upper shell part 30 connected with the movable lower shell part while heat-activating the treating vessel, is prepared. The liquid slag is mixed with silicon dioxide 26, reducing agent 34, bag-house dust 36 and inert gas 35 before heating from about 1400 deg.C to 3000 deg.C. Reduce iron 50, manganese metallic layer 52 for raw material, treated slag layer 16 and exhaust gas 72 are generated with a heat treatment, and this exhaust gas contains a large part of lead 56 and zinc 58 and carbon monooxide 70. The exhaust gas is burnt, cooled and solidified and in this result, lead oxide 84 and zinc oxide 86 are generated. The treated slag layer is tapped, cooled and solidified. Then, the metallic layer 54 is tapped and reutilized in a steelmaking process.
