A mobile communications network comprises a network entity and at least one mobile device. The network entity periodically requests location information of the mobile device. This comprises a positioner configured to determine, at least in part, a position of the device, a request processor for processing and selectively responding to requests for information regarding the position of the device; and a memory configured to store certain attributes related to the location information requests. The attributes including the time and date of the location information requests, the location of the mobile device at the time of the location information requests, and a message indicating the reason for the location information request. |
