PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device allowing the loading of a rolled sheet without mistaking the front and back, and easily managing the recorded rolled sheet. SOLUTION: This recording device comprises a rolled sheet supply part supplying a rolled sheet, a rolled sheet winding part winding the rolled sheet pulled out from the rolled sheet supply part, a guide part guiding the rolled sheet pulled out from the rolled sheet supply part to the rolled sheet winding part, and a printing part installed in the middle of a convey path of the guide part. An identification mark detecting sensor is provided to the guide part, and an identification mark is printed in advance. When a new rolled sheet is loaded to the rolled sheet supply part, the identification mark detecting sensor detects the identification mark of the rolled sheet guided and conveyed to the guide part, so as to judge the front and back of the rolled sheet. When the rolled sheet is detached from the rolled sheet winding part, the printing part prints management information such as detachment date of the rolled sheet and the like ion a trail end of the rolled sheet.
