PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior material which is excellent in workability and exerts functions of waterproofing, heat insulation, condensation prevention, etc. SOLUTION: The exterior material A consists of a metallic roofing material C and a mounting fitting E. The metallic roofing material C is formed of a female link portion 14 having a waterproof piece 13 formed at an upstream end of a face 4, and a male link portion 12 having a stepped decorative face 6, a deepest piece 8, and an insertion piece 9 which are formed at a downstream end of the face 4. The mounting fitting E is formed of a fixed piece, an engaging piece which is shaped by bending a lower end of the fixed piece upward and then bending a front end of the same to the upstream side, an engaging groove defined by the engaging piece and the fixed piece, and a support piece which is shaped by bending a front end of the engaging piece upward and then to a downstream side, and further protruding the same to the downstream side relative to the lower end of the fixed piece. By supporting an upper end of the metallic roofing material C by the support piece of the mounting fitting E, and by fixing the fixed piece of the mounting fitting E by a fixture, the upper end of the metallic roofing material C is fixed. On the other hand, by engaging the insertion piece 9 into the engaging groove formed in the mounting fitting E, a lower end of the metallic roofing material C is fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
