<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the decline of the light receiving sensitivity of an optical waveguide device, and to evade erroneous determination of touch input. <P>SOLUTION: The optical waveguide device 10 includes: optical waveguide 11 having a plurality of cores 13 that emit emission light 15 from a distal end 14; and a light receiving element 12 having a plurality of photodiodes 16 for receiving the emission light 15. The pitch L1 in the cores 13 is larger than the pitch L2 in the photodiodes 16. The ratio L2/L1 of the pitch L2 in the photodiodes 16 and the pitch L1 in the cores 13 is from 0.1 to 0.8, and two or more photodiodes 16 face one core 13.
