The realization of a three-dimensional television broadcast and its recei ver are promoted for making it possible to reproduce a three-dimensional vid eo image in good condition for a three-dimensional view. In a three-dimensio nal broadcast, the transmission is subjected to that a standard size of a di splay for a receiver is determined, that left and right images are overlappe d and displayed at the same position on the standard size display, and that the same corresponding points of an infinite distant image are reproduced an d displayed at the same interval as that of human eyes.
