PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raindrop detection device capable of performing stable wiping operation of a wiper blade by suppressing unnecessary increase of the number of operation times of wiping of the wiper blade during a small amount of rainfall. SOLUTION: A constitution is adopted, wherein, while an automobile is stopped in a stopping waiting mode, a succeeding wiping mode to be raised by accidental raindrop adhesion to a detection domain Ad of a raindrop sensor 20 is restricted only to a wiping mode selected to just before the wiping mode is lowered to the stopping waiting mode. Hereby, this raindrop detection device 1 can be provided, capable of performing stable wiping operation of the wiper blade 13 by suppressing generation of a phenomenon wherein the number of operation times of wiping of the wiper blade 13 is unnecessarily increased by accidental raindrop adhesion to the detection domain Ad of the raindrop sensor 20 during a small amount of rainfall.
