The invention relates to agriculture, to growing green fodder for cattle using manure-containing nutrient substrates. A method for growing the green fodder such that the manure or liquid fraction thereof is subjected to anaerobic fermentation at the thermophilic mode, fractionated, and the fermented liquid fraction is brought to a dry matter content of 0.3-0.5 % by mixing with water and used while soaking grain and further growing of green fodder, and vegetable residues moistened by the fermented liquid fraction of manure are used as a manure-containing nutrient substrate.
