PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for stable and quick detection of a focusing position of a pathological sample.SOLUTION: A focusing position detection device detects a focused position of a sample photographed while changing the focus position in an optical axis with respect to the sample using image data of a plurality of layers in the sample, in which the image data is color image data composed of data of a plurality of color planes, and the focusing position detection device includes: selection means that selects the color plane corresponding to a color largest in absorption by the sample of the plurality of color planes as the color plane for detection of the focused position; and focused position determination means that evaluates a degree of focusing of the data of the color plane for the detection of the focused position of each of the plurality of layers to thereby determine the focused position of the sample.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15 |
