PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a mixed state of spray in a cylinder more appropriate, concerning an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine includes: a cylinder block 20 which forms a cylinder 21; a cylinder head 11 provided on one end side of the cylinder 21; a piston 30 which is stored in the cylinder 21 so as to move in a predetermined direction, and on which a cavity 31 is recessed on a side facing the cylinder head 11; an injector 12 which is provided on the cylinder head 11, and injects fuel into the cavity 31; and a spray adjusting portion 32 which is formed on a surface of the cavity 31 of the piston 30, suppresses at least a part of passing of an outer shell part of fuel spray injected from one or more injection holes of the injector 12, and permits the passing of the rest part of the fuel spray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
