PURPOSE: An indoor temperature adjusting device and a method thereof are provided to adjust the indoor temperature of the vehicle room optimally by detecting the presence of the passenger in the seat and adding signals from switches operated by respective passengers. CONSTITUTION: An indoor temperature adjusting device is composed of a switch(100) arranged in a seat to input up/set/down signals according to the desired temperature of respective passengers, a control unit(200) deciding the desired temperature of the passenger by calculating the signals from the switch, and an air conditioning unit(400) adjusting indoor temperature corresponding to decision of the control unit. The control unit compares the present temperature with the desired mean temperature for passengers. The air conditioning unit regulates the indoor temperature by driving an air conditioner or a heater. A passenger detecting sensor(300) is installed to the seat to detect the presence of the passenger.
