An aid for producing high quality cigarettes using a hand rolling machine has a plate with a width of 25 mm and a thickness of about 6 mm. The two long sides are pinched in at a radius (R10) of 10 mm while one end is cut with a second radius (R20) of 20 mm. The plate can be made of any suitable material and combinations of materials. The length of the plate is matched to the required length of tobacco.
