<p>A ground mounting for an umbrella or parasol with ease of fitting has a hollow sleeve (1) with open upper end (5) and with a pointed lower end (6) terminating in a nozzle (7). The sleeve is filled with a liquid and the point is pressed into the ground. The liquid is pumped out of the nozzle by a piston (2) pressed into the sleeve. This washes away loose material, e.g. sand, soil gravel etc. and enables the operator to easily push the sleeve deep into the ground. The umbrella shaft is secured into the sleeve by a threaded clamp (16).</p> |
