A screw retainer (3) retains the screw and includes a screw guide (6) designed as a pin-shaped attachment, and a thread clamping ring (7). The threads (4, 5) are brought in engagement with the guide (6) and the ring (7) in two different guiding positions, respectively. A switching unit (8) designed as a wedge-shaped lever is provided for switching from one of the guiding positions into another position.
