A method for the production of a heating and/or air-conditioning component with a window of acoustic and/or thermal insulating material, involves placing this material in a mould so that it is held and pressed together by press edges in the closed mould, injecting fluid plastic into the cavity and solidifying the plastic to form a wall section framing the insulating material in one piece. A method for the production of a component (10) for a heating and/or air-conditioning system, with a window (14) of acoustic and/or thermal insulating material (16) framed by a plastic wall section (12), involves (a) placing (16) in a mould (30), (b) closing the mould to form a mould cavity (38) surrounding the edge of (16) and bounded by press edges (24) (at least on the window side) so that the material (16) is held and pressed together by (24), with (16) projecting beyond the edges (24) into the cavity (38), (c) injecting fluid plastic material (26) into the cavity (38) and (d) solidifying the plastic to form the wall section (12) in one piece with the material (16). Independent claims are included for (1) a mould (30) as above, comprising a first part (32) with a contact surface (28) for the insulating material (16), a second part (34) with encircling press edges (24) (see above for functions and disposition), and means (36) of injecting fluid plastic (26) into the mould cavity (38) (2) a component (10) as above, with a plastic wall section (12) and insulating material (16) bonded together in one piece by injection moulding .
