The invention relates to a device (30) for processing an electric signal, comprising a first terminal (31) and a second terminal (32) and at least one element (34) which generates a potential profile (36), in order to separate the first terminal from the second terminal, through which a quantum current (I) flows by means of the tunnel effect between the first and second terminals, said current corresponding to an electric signal output from the device. The invention is characterised in that the device also comprises a third terminal (33) to which an input electric signal (v(t)) is applied in order to control the quantum current established between the first and second terminals, by means of oscillations in the potential profile with frequencies of the order of the inverse of the transit time of the electrons between the first and second terminals.
