PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING A WOODEN CONTAINER

A method for manufacturing a wooden container and an apparatus for the same are provided to reduce possibility for a crack to occur in a border part of the wooden container and to save consumption of raw materials. A method for manufacturing a wooden container using a wooden sheet made of thin wood chips includes the steps of; molding an intermediate product of the wooden container having a border part(4a) extended from peripheral walls(3a) of the container by heating and pressurizing the wooden sheet between a male mold(14) and a female mold(15) of a press machine; and molding a complete product of the wooden container having a border by further heating and pressurizing the intermediate product between the male mold and the female mold of the press machine.
